Celine Wright rehabilitates hand-made creations
« Hand-made work is the only non-polluting human energy », says Celine Wright.
All her objects are made by hand, combining reviewed and corrected ancestral techniques with natural and non-polluting materials. The fabrication of a light requires different types of acute operations.
This technique has allowed the designer to create a genuine network of producers who work from their homes in the way of the English system « cottage industry », a huge manufacturing success.
Every light is unique. Shaped and structured by hand, « a shell from the “Cocon” range can be made of over 1600 small strips of paper, individually glued to a mould. Its production can take up to 7 hours of work », says the designer.
The “Cocon” is resistant, non-flammable and spreads a soft and soothing light.
